Fifth book in series can stand alone as a romantic & action packed ride. Natasha is still trying to convince her fiancé Jonce Striker that she needs her independence to run her own bodyguard business. Their romance is hot but they keep argung therefore staying stuck because Jonce still wants her to quit being a bodyguard & be his wife & mother to children. Natasha returns his ring but grieves as Jonce does about actually breaking up. In this book, against Natys wishes, head of a Mafia group, whose life she saved, tells her there is a contract out on her. Jonce is then appointed to bodyguard Naty. They hide out in a woodsy cabin, argue & plot with two other guards to outfox & outrun those after them. Lots of conversations, loving & shootings with the bad guys. A fun book with many interesting aspects.At times Jonce seems like Ranger from the Janet Evanovich, Stephanie Plum bounty Hunter series. Or like Roarke from the In Death series by Jd Robb (Nora Roberts). This bodyguard series has similiar wacky characters & humor.
I enjoyed all the books. Liked the page turning to find out what happens next. Sometimes Natasha is immature & impulsive. But it makes for interesting consequences & a good read.

This is a wonderful fast paced go get 'em strong woman type of book. But still a little romance along the way. If you love adventure then this is your book.
All i can say is if you want adventure, mystery and a little romance then this is your book. I can't wait for Christy Tillery French's next book. You won't be disapointed.
I will say if you haven't read her other 4 befor this one you are defanitly gonna want to.
I love this series. I really do. Although it is not my normal genre, I find these books to be fun, entertaining, and relaxing...the perfect brain candy.
THE BODYGUARD AND THE BODYGUARD is the fifth book by Christie Tillery French which features Natasha Chamberlain. Natasha is a strong, determined, passionate woman. These are just a few of the many characteristics that her fiance, Striker, loves about her. And they are the same things that drive him the most nuts. Natasha is a bodyguard by profession (as is Striker), and a good one, as it turns out, but Striker feels too overprotective of her to live comfortably with her line of work. Our stubborn Natty refuses to budge on this, and sparks (of all kinds) fly between the pair. And it does help matters that in THE BODYGUARD AND THE BODYGUARD that the body Striker is guarding is Natasha's!
As always, in THE BODYGUARD AND THE BODYGUARD, Natasha is getting herself into trouble, kicking some serious butt, and taking no prisoners. That is one thing I just love about this character she knows what she wants, she knows what to do, and she knows how to do it. She does not put up with stupidity, illogic, or nonsense. She is smart, loyal, and determined, while still being feminine and sexy.
I have really enjoyed Christie Tillery French's character development over the course of this five (and counting!) book series. All her characters are interesting, endearing, and unique. The action is always top notch. It will keep you on the edge of your seat as the pages turn fast and furious. And, of course, the chemistry between Natty and Striker, well, that is something not to be missed.
I hear that the next installment of The Bodyguard Series is due out soon. I sure hope so! I can't wait!
I recently purchased this book and read it immediately upon arrival. I wasn't disappointed! I love the character Natasha's strong will and determination, something you don't always find in a female character. I also appreciate Christy's love of animals that is evident in all of her books. This book took me on an adventure through the wilderness and was fast paced and very entertaining. If you are looking for a series of mystery, adventure and a little romance, give The Bodyguard series a try.
Wonderful books in this series. I have read them and now they go to my grandchildren.
Keeping in mind that this is of a light, fun genre, it's a very good read. I have trouble writing "excellent" only because I measure against the books that make me want to call in sick so I can keep reading, like the Girl With a Dragon Tattoo series, or even the Hunger Games. This series is really fun, though, and the writing is good (though if I read "you're my world" one more time I may puke). Aside from thee romantic element (which is still mostly good), the comedy is good and the plot for each of the series is never boring and has lots of surprises. Plus, the lead character and the author are both animal people, which makes them good people. The proceeds from these books are donated to animal organizations, and they aren't expensive, so if you're on the fence about them, perhaps that could help tip the scale for you. You won't regret it, though - they are a lot of fun.
Excellent! I love these guys! Natasha is on the death list of particularly evil organized crime boss. While she has Striker and the boys at her back, running and hiding long term just don't fit any of them and life gets even more frustrating and terrifying when members of her personal posse are injured. I got a little tired of their on going battle about her safety and her job but it fits them and is well written.

Christy Tillary French.....makes interesting reads........
I don't usaully like these kind of books as it does alittle talk between the Head bodyguard and his company and in the beginning he hires a lady
to do errands and such....she decides to be a woman bodyguard, but he says "NO!" as its to dangerous for a woman......and so she starts her own
business, and of course he always has to rescue her with two big, big bodyguards.....it is a humerous, about being a bodyguard and her doing her best,
and love and some sexy talk or what ever comes into it, but just turn the page. She is an interesting and fantastic writer.....
I'm working on the next Bodyguard and The Bodyguard....which I always get from ..........as my library doesn't have it...this book
