A Mom Guide to Evernote eBook Lauren Rothlisberger

I've been using Evernote on and off for several years and finally decided I wanted to use it as my main source to keep all of my stuff. As a SAHM, I picked up this book hoping for some advice on how to use Evernote to keep my family organized. Within a few minutes of downloading, I sat down to read it, knowing that I had maybe 30 minutes to read. I finished it before my time was up!

Over half the information in the book is about how Evernote works in general (how to make a notebook, a notebook stack, tagging, etc.)

The very last chapter covers how this might be useful as a mom. It simply explained that you should break it down by person/topic (for example, make a notebook stack for Taxes, then add notebooks for 2013, 2012, etc. Finally, add notes (ie, W2, Mortgage Interest, etc) for each year.)

Overall, it felt like I should be reading a series of blog posts on the author's blog. It certainly wasn't worth $4.99. If you can get it for free and have never used Evernote, then get the book. But if you have to pay for it, don't bother.

This is a great intro to Evernote's capabilities filled w/ practical ideas to get started. Definitely a must-buy for a busy person!!!
I think the title says it all. I bought another book, before this one, and I could not settle in and read it. The Mom's Guide was written for people who are not technologically minded, just simple minded people looking for something they can understand and relate to. Thank you, Lauren, for meeting this need.
I am a regular Evernote user in search for new ways to organize. This book was not it. I think it could be good for a complete beginner but I think this book was ok at best.
I learned some things and gained a few ideas especially about reducing paperwork. I would recommend this to newcomers to Evernote.
I've downloaded and dabbled with Evernote, but have not really understood its organizational abilities. Since I have looked in many places for ways of organizing the information in my life, and having it at hand when needed, I am very happy to realize I had it at hand all along. I especially liked the templates included in the book for the visual learner
Thanx for the research you did before writing the booklet. I found it very useful for me as a mom, student, journal keeper, and small biz owner. I appreciate the time you took to put all the info concerning EverNote into a useful pamphlet for me.
This is a great intro to using Evernote for everyday life. I like that it addresses things like security and passwords. I especially like the examples shown. My only complaint is that I wish it said more about organizing the notebook/stacks to make them more accessible. But I may find I don't need as much organizing of them as I thought.
